Yeu Sik Hong

Yeu S. Hong is a partner at  SGG Immigration LLP. Mr. Hong has practiced immigration law since 1998 and was employed at a Los Angeles based boutique immigration law firm for 13 years prior to joining SGG Immigration LLP in 2014. He represents individuals and corporations in a variety of industries, including consumer electronics, finance, health and science, food production, automobile components and high-technology.

Mr. Hong focuses on employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa services for start-up, mid-sized and large multi-national and U.S. corporations. He has advised individuals and corporations on immigration strategies for a wide range of employment based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa options before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the U.S. Department of State.  He has extensive experience with various nonimmigrant visa categories, including H-1B, H-3, E-2, E-1, L-1A, L-1B, L-1 Blanket, TN, R, and J-1. In addition, he has experience with immigrant visa categories, particularly focused on labor certification and multi-national manager/executive petitions.

Mr. Hong has extensive experience representing individual clients with family-based immigration matters, including marriage and fiancé petitions, immigrant based adjustment of status and visa applications, and citizenship and naturalization issues.

Mr. Hong is currently the Vice Chair of AILA’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman Liaison Committee. He has previously served as a Director of American Immigration Lawyers Association’s (AILA) Board of Governors, Chair of AILA’s Department of State Liaison Committee, (2011/12, 2015/2016), and Chair of AILA’s Southern California Chapter Executive Committee (2006/2007).  He has also served on AILA’s Department of State Liaison Committee; Business Committee; and Transformation Committee.

Mr. Hong earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, San Diego and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego.  Mr. Hong resides in Los Angeles, CA, with his wife, Carol and son, Maxwell. He enjoys traveling with his family and coaching his son’s youth basketball team.
